ANALYZING WOOD PEOPLE
WOOD PEOPLE: Number one in the forest. Wood people have to be first and best. Think of a tall , proud, oak tree. It is tough, hard , stubborn and thinks of itself as number one in the forest. WOODS can be a flexible willow or a sturdy oak. ( One will break, (yin) and the other will bend (yang) with the wind of circumstances.) Wood people are stick-to-it people. They will climb the mountain, win the race or die trying. They are ones who will carve the way for the rest of us. WOOD people make great leaders in general, and attack things with gusto. However , they can be a pain to others because they over-extend themselves, and tend to think they can do something they can’t do in reality because its way over their head. WOOD people can store anger against the outside world , blaming other people and events for their own failures , this affects the liver and can cause tension headaches. Because of their insecurities they can be argumentative and hostile if not kept in balance and will often take their anger out on other people physically and/or mentally. I believe that it had to be the WOOD people who carved out our nation in the wilderness; they reached for the stars...without them we would all be on one coast or another and never venture outside our comfort zone. They inspire us to be our best . Woods tend to be into sports or music or perhaps both.Being competitive, they tend to be a bit of a perfectionist too, having to be first and best among the crowd. SUGGESTIONS: Woods need to seek balance in their activities ( all or nothing attitude gets them into trouble.) They need to be balanced in their food choices and exercise. They will often go overboard in exercising and become unable to go on because of illness or tendon pain. Balancing hormones is crucial for Wood people, and especially be gentle with the liver. Because the liver has many jobs, one being to filter out what we put into ourselves, Woods need to watch what they eat, limiting junk foods and alcohol and smoking . Peppermint essential oil is great on the temples or at the neck for headaches. Stress is a big problem for Woods. A calming cup of chamomile tea and lavender on the back of the neck would relax them. also reflexology and massage would do wonders. Wood people need to get their thinking right about themselves and their world or they will be constantly butting heads with people on the job and in their relationships. I understand wood people, having a close relative in my life who is a wood . WOODS IN A NUTSHELL: Can be charismatic and charming but they ... Can be angry, bull-headed, stubborn, argumentative. Confident, Resolute, Assured, Ambitious, Competitive, Capable, Commanding, Dedicated, Positive, Balanced.Woods love:Color green, Spring, best time is 11:00PM-3AM, WHICH ELEMENT OR COMBINATION OF ELEMENTS ARE YOU?Remember, you can be all five but mainly one , with perhaps, a close proximity to another element next to it. You were born as this element, but over the years can eliminate a trait which doesn’t serve you any longer. To figure out which category you are in, ask yourself what you were like when you were in grade school? Ask questions: Were you neat and organized? Did you like playing sports and being competitive? Were you very active, on the go continually and in a lot of different extra curricular activities? Did you have people unloading their problems on you? Were you always planning things and organizing activities? Do you find it hard to forgive? Were you a perfectionist? Did you have a need to control others? Were you careful to a fault and do everything slow and meticulous? NARROWING IT DOWN: When you get stressed ,do your health problems exhibit themselves in the following way: Heart palpitations and chest pains? Headaches? Indigestion, diarrhea/constipation? Joint and ligament pains? Lower back pain? Look at how you are emotionally and your health weaknesses, then make a call based on where you fit. Look at your family members and friends and do the same. This knowledge should arm you with data that will help you get along better with all five of the elements and with yourself too. Better understanding of others makes us more loving , less judgmental, considerate of our differences and more desirable to be around. RELATIONSHIPS: Can you imagine if a Fire Person, with very little Earth qualities, marries a Water person who is afraid of life ? disastrous. The Fire would be in direct conflict all the time. It may explain why such Fire Mates continually search for other mates and are never seemingly satisfied with the one they have . They, themselves, are mystified as to why they act this way. They can be very much in love with their mate but, at the same time, sabotage this relationship continually . It is the answer to why a water has to be in control of a Fire who is very YANG. They will try to put out the fire person's passion and zest for life because they themselves are afraid of the aggressive behavior of their mate. Knowing the five elements is crucial in handling yourself and others with love and care in our world.. Understanding the 5 element personalities is so powerful and so useful for being at peace in all situations. It is so fruitless trying to change another’s nature. They are born with their tendencies no matter who their parents are or what situational environment they find themselves. Which may explain why some people overcome while others succumb who come from the same family. We give others permission to heal and be better people by our attitude towards them.
