It's a well know fact that health care as we know it, is in trouble and as we speak a brand new paradigm is developing .

Even on the Oprah show we see the wonderful Dr. Oz endorsing all sorts of natural remedies and techniques.

I have a few techniques here that Dr. Oz may not be aware of.

I started in holistic health in 1998, after realizing that everything on our planet and beyond, is really just energy.

So Reiki, was my first trial run with the use of energy to heal me.

I was run down and exhausted from running a 9-5 florist business for over 15 years.

I was so impressed with the energy I had after a single session, That I took the course, bought a massage table and started giving sessions in my home.

I found that most people would gladly be an experimental recipient, but not many were willing to pay me. (It was, after all, in the beginning of natural healing techniques.)

I found too, that I needed something more active,like massage.

I went to a massage therapist for a first-hand assessment.

During my session, I found myself saying, "I can do this, no problem.."

So I bought a video tape on techniques and procedure of giving a massage and practiced on a few friends and family members, till I built up my confidence.

I was good at giving massages and I liked it...so I developed my own style.

Eventually, I wanted to know more about the body and give myself a competitive edge, so I became certified in Reflexology ad added this technique into my sessions.

I called it Refex-massage.

Lesson number one, never compete with a Massage therapist.

They have paid thousands of dollars for their years of training and their earned diploma for the right to call themselves a RMT, Registered Massage Therapist.

I didn't wish to tramp on their toes. They can do their therapy thing with medical insurance backing, I just wanted to bring peace and relaxation to the few who remained.

My clients tell me they wouldn't go to a massage therapist anyway... Most of them go at you like you are a mack truck, (their words).

Gradually, I built up a client base, but at this point one wouldn't make a living at it but it was coming.
